Baby Shower Drive-Through Style

Baby Shower Drive-Through Style

This has been a year of compromise for us pregnant mamas. One of those compromises was not throwing that big extravagant baby shower that we so hoped for. Instead, we opted for something with minimal contact, but creative nonetheless. And guess what, I’M NOT COMPLAINING ONE BIT! Like seriously, whoever came up with the idea of a drive through/drive by baby shower is a genius!

I cannot tell you how much money we saved! I ordered this cute backdrop and flower garland from Amazon. The treat bags were just regular brown paper bags with chalk board gift tags, which I found at Michael’s. The white metallic table cloths were from Target. Also, our tables were borrowed from some very awesome neighbors. We set up a treat table at the back of our driveway and set up a gift table at the front of our driveway to allow our guests to be able to hop in and out. Instead of doing a parade-style drive by celebration, we allotted our guests a time window to swing through!

Treat table. That one bag turned to the side...oy!

Can we just talk about these beautiful, delicious treats for a minute? If you’ve been following me, then you probably know that my niece has a gourmet treat business named Kiddie Kookies. These white chocolate covered Rice Krispies, Oreos, and pretzel sticks were amazing! If you’re not following Kiddie Kookies on Facebook and on Instagram @kiddie_kookies, make sure you go do that NOW!

Now about this cute flowy dress…I stumbled across it at Ross! I accessorized it with this cute flower headband that I’ve had forever, some rose gold dangling earrings, and a favorite pair of my ankle lace up sandals that I’ve had for some time now. To be honest, it’s better than what I originally had in mind. I was only looking for a white, short Summer dress and ended up with this gem! Look at how perfect it matched my baby shower theme…talk about a find! This dress isn’t a maternity dress by the way, so I will be getting plenty of use even after the baby comes.

I am so happy at how everything turned out! Baby girl got showered with lots of love and so many cute gifts! Plus, we saved so much money and will now be using that money to buy more baby stuff (somebody stop me…please). At this point I don’t even regret not having a normal baby shower…maybe I’m weird, idk?

Have you had to resort to a drive by/drive through baby shower? I would love to hear about it in the comments!
