Decorating my baby girl’s nursery was honestly the highlight of my pregnancy. I didn’t get the chance to prepare a nursery for the arrival of my babies with my two older children, so this was a dream come true. I wanted her nursery to have a light and airy feel so I chose white furniture and bright pastel colors. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!
Can you believe that we got all of our nursery furniture from Facebook Market? The crib, changing table, and rocking chair and ottoman we found separate. I just love a good bargain!
My inspiration for the entire nursery came from this lemon crib sheet that I found at Target. I first spotted this crib sheet months before I even got pregnant. My husband, the kids, and I were out looking at baby stuff. I knew then that I would be using this crib sheet if our future baby was a girl. If you don’t know my little family by now, when we are believing the Lord to do something, we act as if it’s going to happen, until it happens…our faith is crazy, I know!
I decided to pair the lemon crib sheet with this plaid pink and white fleece blanket that I also got from Target. I think that it adds to the country feel of the lemons perfectly.
Now for a close up of those letters. I am in love with how they turned out! My older sister actually did these for me. I bought the wooden letters from Michael’s and the flowers used on the “N” and “R” from Amazon. The other two letters were spray painted to match the decor.
This area rug was the icing on the cake. I searched and searched until I found a rug that I felt belonged with the decor, and then I found this one at Target. The hand woven material fit in nicely with the country theme.
I found these cute white shelves at Lowe’s Home Improvement. I hung them in the corner above this adorable little hamper which was a gift. I decided to store all of her big blankets in this hamper.
A nursery wouldn’t be a nursery without a diaper changing station. For storage I purchased these cute wicker baskets with pink pom poms from Target and the mint green cubes from Walmart. I keep her wash cloths, towels, socks, headbands/hats, bibs, and lotion/baby wash in these units.
Here’s a close up of the cute pictures hanging above the changing table. I was so in love with the lemon crib sheet that I wanted to incorporate more lemon decor into the nursery. I found these printables on Etsy and had them printed out at CVS. I bought these plain white picture frames on Amazon…and voila!
I went into nesting mode overdrive with baby girl’s closet. Every piece of clothing and blanket was washed prior to being put up. Her clothes are organized according size (Newborn – 0-3 months, 3 – 6 months, 6 – 9 months, and 12 months). I hung all of her outfits and put her onesies and sleepers in the dresser bin. Her diapers are also organized by size, from newborn up to size 3. You wouldn’t believe how long it took me to sort through everything and then organize it. I was in the nursery finding something to do just about everyday. I seriously did the most. I can’t promise that it will stay this neat, but I’m going to enjoy it while it lasts!
I was so excited the moment I finished the nursery. It was 3:00 in the morning and I literally just sat there looking around the room admiring how everything came together…I know I can’t be the only one who does that after decorating. There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing the finished product of your hard work.
On that note, I hope that this blog gives some pregnant mama a little nursery inspo! Until next time 🙂
Love it!
Thanks, love ❤
